Cautiously Nibbling
Market has been holding in a relatively flat range for most of the morning. Semi's and Small Caps still seem to be missing in action, however not terribly so. The trend is your friend for now and therefore we are making some small nibbles on "a few of our favorite names" (Doe Rae Me Fa So...never mind).
Names of Interest:
*ERTS & GOOG - might be forming a nice short-term base before they take off.
*TWX - seems to be coming to life after doing nothing for quite a while.
We've also nibbled on SUNW, TXN, MSFT, and INTC which have recently had strong earnings reports, meaning the uncertainty is out of the way, and have already had a decent amount of profit taking. Other names that we are slowly scaling into are MRVL, BA, and AAPL. We are even re-entering a small position in XLE and still believe that the trajectory of Oil is still up.
We have a large cash position that we plan on maintaining due to our level of angst over the extreme extended nature of this market, however to completely ignore the trend would be unwise. ___________________________________________________
