Market continues to confound the bears
The market has once again confounded the bears and the dip buyers have stepped in to slowly walk the market to the highs of the day. Breadth has improved to roughly neutral. Although some of the key tells such as the Semi's and Small Cap's are still underperforming. The market may be moving on the old, "if we can't get them down we might as well buy 'em" concept.
How the market closes today will be important considering that this rally started early in the day. Buying the dip, while present seems to be lacking it's usual vigor. With that said, the leadership which is primarily coming from the large caps is slightly troublesome and is evidence that there is not enough speculative fervor. We are continuing to look for select long side trades but are not willing to embrace the indices here. Long side entries into index ETF's continue to have a questionable risk/reward. We're still somewhat net long but proceeding with caution. ___________________________________________________
