"Dynamite" Trading

We bought some Texas Instruments (TXN) and Google (GOOG) this morning. TXN recently had a terrific mid-quarter update; therefore the chance of being slapped in the face with a preannouncement from this company is slim. We also like it's liquidity and the recent weakness in the shares (-7% to -8%) since the report. We believe that was primarily a sell the news reaction.

GOOG is on the road with their secondary offering and is being hyped by Jim Cramer. Love him or hate him, he has the juice to move stocks when he starts frothing at the mouth. This is not a business about egos and when another money manager has heavy weight hitting capability we are pleased to accept a piggy back ride.

We also averaged in to Taser (TASR) however this is more of a long-term investment. We are considering covering a small portion of our NASDAQ 100 (QQQQ) short to get a little more exposure for a very short-term pop. As we discussed in prior posts, with tight stops and nimble feet…"we can do what we want…GOSH!!"
